Teacher in Fall River and Somerset for over 4 decades has died
A Fall River woman who gave over 4 decades to educating young people passed away last week.
76-year-old Patricia Medeiros passed away after an eight-year battle with Dementia Alzheimer’s on Wednesday.
According to an obituary, Medeiros “dedicated more than 40 years to teaching, beginning her career at Sacred Heart Academy and later serving as a beloved Spanish teacher at Somerset High School until her retirement in 2008.”
“Patricia lived her life with warmth, creativity, and a spirit of generosity. She treasured her travels to Hilton Head with (husband) Bob, finding joy and peace in their time together. She loved crocheting, sewing and creating beautiful gifts for others, each one crafted with care and intention. Patricia was known for writing heartfelt letters and cards to her dear friends, nurturing meaningful lifelong connections. Patricia possessed an extraordinary ability to find just the right gift for each person, a gesture that made those around her feel seen, valued, and wonderfully special.”
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, to be offered in St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Committal service and interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
