Taunton man killed in Sunday night crash
A Taunton man has died after a Sunday night crash.
According to scanner transmissions, just after 11:15 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a crash near the intersection of Dean (Route 44) and Arlington Streets.
Witnesses stated they saw the vehicle on it’s side after the crash and the operator had been thrown from the vehicle.
Taunton Fire Department confirmed to Fall River Reporter that the victim of the crash was deceased.
According to the Taunton Gazette, the driver, who was in a pickup truck, allegedly pulled on the side of several drivers and passed them, including partially driving into the opposite lane of travel.
The victim appears to have lost control after driving on the railroad tracks at Dean and Arlington.
