Taunton Fire Department extinguishes blaze that displaces 10 people
Crews extinguished a housefire on Wednesday that displaced nearly a dozen people.
According to the fire department, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Taunton Fire’s E-911 was notified of a structure at 21 Fruit Street with occupants possibly inside.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire from the 3rd floor.
Engines 1, 4, 3, 5, Ladder 2 and Car 2 responded to battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters.
The 10 occupants displaced are being assisted by TEMA and the Red Cross to find shelter.
The fire is under investigation by Taunton Fire and Taunton Police.
