Swansea Selectman Christopher Carreiro considers run for Bristol County Register of Probate
Swansea Selectman Christopher Carreiro is considering running for a new post.
The lawyer and real estate agent released a statement early this morning considering the possible run.
The statement is as follows:
Late last week, I filed the requisite statement of organization documents to form a campaign committee with the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance, to explore running for Bristol County Register of Probate.
Former Bristol County Register of Probate, Attorney Gina DeRossi did excellent work bringing the Bristol County Probate and Family Court into the 21st Century, and I look forward to finding new ways to improve the Bristol County Probate and Family Court to better serve all the cities and towns of Bristol County.
The Register of Probate serves a critically important public service role and as an elected official and a full-time practicing attorney, I believe I am uniquely qualified to build on the foundation that Former Bristol County Register of Probate, Attorney Gina DeRossi, has established over the past decade.
In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to continuing to meet with voters and community leaders as I explore the possibility of running for Bristol County Register of Probate.
