Swansea restaurant in business for over 20 years, sold
A popular Swansea restaurant has been sold and will have its last day at the end of the year.
According to a message on social media by manager Gary Simons, Simply Simons has been bought.
“Do to reasons out of our control, Simply Simons has been sold.”
The eatery is hoping to go out with a bang before the end of the year.
“There will be a Christmas party on the 19th, and December 31st is our last day. Everybody is welcome and we hope to see you all there.”
The move is a hard one for restaurant staff and ownership.
“This is definitely hard for all of us especially being a family business for over 25 years.”
Simons is appreciative of all of the customers and staff who have been there through both good and bad times.
“We want to thank all of our customers for supporting us through the years. You are definitely all loyal to us and we appreciate everything you do. We also want to thank all of our staff for sticking with us through these hard times. We’re leaving on a good note. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
It is currently unclear what will be moving into 481 Wilbur Avenue.
