Swansea man arrested on firearm and child porn charges after authorities seize multiple guns arraigned in Fall River Superior Court
A local man faced a judge in Fall River Superior Court Friday after previously being charged with firearms offenses after seizing multiple guns while assisting State Police with a search warrant execution.
In February, Swansea Police Detectives and Patrol Division responded to 300 Pamela Drive to assist Massachusetts State Police’s Cyber Crimes Unit and Special Tactics and Operations Team (STOP) in executing a warrant.
State Police obtained the warrant following an investigation by the Cyber Crimes Unit into reports that the resident, 39-year-old Bryan Golden of Swansea was allegedly in possession of child pornography.
Golden was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday.
During the execution of the search warrant, Swansea Police Detectives additionally located and seized five firearms from inside the home. The firearms included a Smith & Wesson M&P rifle, Ruger 10/22 rifle, Remington rifle, Mossberg rifle and Mosin-Nagant rifle.
Golden was arrested by Massachusetts State Police on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography.
Swansea Police Detectives then obtained a warrant on Wednesday additionally charging seizing multiple guns with Possession of a Large-Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Without a Firearms Identification Card (Two Counts), and Firearm Violation with a Prior Violent Crime.
According to court records, Golden pled not guilty in Fall River District Court.
He was arraigned Friday in Fall River Superior Court where he pled not guilty. Bail was set at $25,000 surety/$2,500 cash which was transferred from District Court after previously being posted.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for September 2nd.
