Swansea man arrested after nearly 1,000 bags of fentanyl seized
A Swansea man has been arrested after nearly 1,000 bags of fentanyl were reportedly found in his possession.
On Thursday, members of the Tisbury Police Department, and members of the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force, conducted a search warrant at the Steamship Authority terminal in Vineyard Haven led by Detective Duquette.
As a result of the investigation, Patrick Ryan Doyle, of Swansea, was placed under arrest for Trafficking Fentanyl 10 + grams and Possession of a Class B Drug with the Intent to Distribute (cocaine).
According to police, Doyle was found to be in possession of 974 wax baggies of suspected fentanyl. Doyle was also found to be in possession of approximately a half ounce of cocaine.
