Swansea Fire Department responds to two-car motor vehicle rollover crash on I-195

Crews responded early Tuesday morning to a local highway crash with injuries.

According to the Swansea Fire Department, firefighters responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on I-195, in which one vehicle rolled over.

Crews worked to remove the vehicle’s roof to safely access and extricate the patient.

The patient was treated and transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Swansea Ambulance. A second patient was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by a Seekonk Ambulance.

The crash is under investigation.
