State Police say 29-year-old Rhode Island man accused of child neglect resulting in death

A wanted Rhode Island man is accused of a disturbing charge.

According to Rhode Island State Police, on Monday, at 3:30 p.m., Troopers arrested 29-year-old Donte Thornhill of Westerly, Rhode Island as a Fugitive from Justice for Child Neglect Causing Death originating out of the Berkely County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of Richmond.

Thornhill was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center pending morning arraignment.

Court records show that at Tuesday’s arraignment, Thornhill was held without bail and has a fugitive hearing scheduled for July 28th.
