State Police release name of 64-year-old woman killed in crash on Route 95
Authorities have released the name of a woman killed in a Thanksgiving Eve highway crash.
According to Rhode Island State Police, on Wednesday at just after 2:00 p.m., Troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks, as well as members from the Richmond and Exeter Fire Departments, responded to a two-car crash on Route 95 North in Richmond.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling north in the right lane was rear-ended by another vehicle traveling at high speed. Both vehicles veered off the roadway and overturned into the woodline.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was later pronounced deceased at Kent Hospital. That person has been identified as 64-year-old Sheila White of South Hampton, NY.
The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hope Valley Barracks at 401-444-1068
