State Police investigating fatal Friday morning crash on I-495
A serious crash this morning has claimed a life.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at about 4:40 a.m. troopers assigned to State Police- Millbury responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 495 north near Exit 24A in Marlborough that resulted in the death of the operator.
Upon their arrival troopers found a 2014 Toyota Camry had crashed into the median guardrail attenuator. The operator and sole occupant, a 37 year-old man from Syracuse, NY, was determined deceased at the scene.
The cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop C of the Massachusetts State Police along with the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Members of the Marlborough Fire and EMS and MassDOT assisted troopers at the scene.
