State Police arrest 75-year-old Rhode Island man for allegedly driving the wrong way on the highway

A local man was arrested recently after an incident on an area highway.

According to State Police, at just after midnight on Tuesday, Troopers arrested 75-year-old Eliah Grant of Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a E-911 call reporting a wrong way driver on Route 146 North in the Town of Lincoln.

Grant was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a pending future court date at the Third Division District Court.
