State Police arrest 75-year-old man after wrong-way crash on Route 6
A local man was arrested Tuesday night after authorities responded to a wrong-way collision.
According to State Police, at just after 9:30 p.m., Troopers arrested 75-year-old Louis J. Grassa of Johnston, Rhode Island, for Reckless Driving – First Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation involving a wrong-way driver on Route 6 in the City of Providence.
Grassa was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Providence Fire Department for treatment, where he was later released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
