St. John’s Club looking for new kitchen tenant after restaurant leaves location

A new restaurant that just opened in April has ceased operations in Fall River.

The Angry Tomato at 1365 Rodman Street inside St. John’s Club, took to social media to express their unhappiness and has since left the location.

The eatery was a casual American comfort-food spot (burgers, sandwiches, wings, fish & chips, meatballs, salads, bowls, and BBQ items) run by Chef Joe Armstrong and his partner Robin Sullivan. The two also produce and sell a line of small-batch sauces, BBQ rubs, jams, jellies, and pickled goods under the Angry Tomato brand.

While Angry Tomato has left Rodman Street, they have not at all ceased operations, according to a social media post.

The club is now looking for someone to rent their commercial kitchen space. Recently there has been a lot of turnover at the spot.

Casa Bar & Grill left the location for Providence earlier this year.

Olimpio’s Restaurant started in February of 2025 and ceased operations months later.

Acores Family Restaurant opened in March of 2024 and moved to Swansea after closing in December of 2024.

Ocean Star Restaurant moved to 826 Plymouth Avenue after announcing in February of 2024 that they were moving.

Maria Ferreira and Rosa Barbosa were long time tenants before relocating to Twins Restaurant on Miller Street in early 2022.

St John’s advertisement for the kitchen rental states that they are under new management and to call 508-672-9185 for a private walkthrough.
