St. Anne’s Preservation Society announces more events and first fundraiser to fix St. Anne’s Church

Looking to help fix up St. Anne’s Church? The first fundraiser has been announced and this one is looking to fill your belly.

St. Anne’s Preservation Society announced today The St. Anne’s Shrine First Annual Pig Roast. The event will be taking place October 12th from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW at 486 Bedford Street in Fall River.

You can stay in our take out and the event will be taking place rain or shine. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the store office in the Shrine. Board members will also have tickets available for purchase. Besides pork, beans and cornbread are on the menu. The St. Anne’s Preservation Society will be having a volunteer meeting this upcoming Friday September 20th in the Shrine at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the final menu and agenda.

There will also be a healing mass at the Shrine on September 19th at 6:30 p.m. with Father Murphy. Ryan Lyons will be singing at the mass.

Also, the Shrine will be having a concert on November 10th at 3:00 p.m. with Father Pat.

At the September 20th meeting, the group will be looking for volunteers as they are in the need for a lot of help from the community. Coffee will be available. If you would like to cook a dish for the fundraiser, work the office during the week, or help clean the Shrine, your attendance would be requested and appreciated.

    I grew up going to St.Anne’s Church often with my parents growing up. It was where I went often when I was at Dominican Academy. I miss going as often as I did when my parents were alive. St. Anne’s still is a large piece of my heart.
