Southeastern Massachusetts stabbing leaves trail of blood, man seriously injured
A man is being treated for serious injuries after a stabbing took place on Monday in southeastern Massachusetts.
Just before 11:30 p.m., police in Falmouth received a 911 regarding a stabbing at an East Falmouth residence, according to an announcement this morning made by Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne.
Upon arrival, they found a male seriously injured. He was transported to a Boston area hospital by ambulance where he is still being treated for his injuries.
A trail of blood led to a parking lot across the highway where it abruptly stopped adjacent to a parking space.
According to NBC 10 Boston, police were in the area of 442 East Falmouth Highway and the victim is in his late 20s.
Officials say that this does not appear to be a random event. The preliminary investigation suggests the public is not in any danger.
Falmouth Police and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office are continuing the investigation.
