Southcoast Health welcomes new providers to Fall River, Wareham, Fairhaven

FAIRHAVEN, FALL RIVER and WAREHAM, Mass. – Southcoast Health is pleased to announce the not-for-profit community health system welcomed three new providers across the region. They will join various specialties including General Surgery, the Hospitalist program, and the Southcoast Health Visiting Nurse Association.

Lindsey Florent, PA-C | VNA Palliative Consulting

Lindsey Florent earned her Master of Science degree as a Physician Assistant from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She joins the Southcoast Health Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) in Palliative Consulting.

Michael Gallagher, NP | General Surgery

Michael Gallagher earned his Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. He is joining the Southcoast Health General Surgery team, caring for patients at Charlton Memorial and Tobey hospitals.

David Handin, MD | Hospitalist

Dr. David Handin earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He then completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. With more than 20 years as a hospitalist, he now joins Southcoast Health caring for patients at all three hospital locations.
