South Coast towing company offering free rides and towing to intoxicated drivers early on New Years Day 2025

A local towing company will be offering free rides and towing to intoxicated drivers once again as part of its annual “Safe Rides Home” program.

Established in 2001, the program instituted by South Coast Towing Inc. will be available from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on January 1st, 2025.

Intoxicated drivers will be driven home safely and have their vehicles towed as well.

According to the company, the towns being covered with this service are: New Bedford, Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Freetown, and Westport.

Local establishments hosting New Year’s celebrations are encouraged to take advantage of the program to make sure their patrons arrive home safely.

South Coast does not encourage heavy drinking but wants to make sure everyone gets home safe and sound.
