A Somerset eatery is closing after 5 months in business.
Choo-Chew at 938 Lees River Avenue in Somerset announced Monday that they will cease operations on Sunday.
“Well friends, we tried our best. Our last day of service will be Sunday, February 2nd. Please come visit us and use your gift cards before we go. Although we are sad to say goodbye to the train, we have no choice but to part ways. Thank you to our loyal supporters, without you we wouldn’t have gotten this far.”
Missing Link BBQ opened in a trailer in Dartmouth in July of 2022 at 335 Old Fall River Road and then moved to 938 Lees River Avenue in Somerset at the end of 2023 before closing in the summer of 2024.
Missing Link was owned by Somerset residents Tom Lyon and Doug Moniz.
Chef Lyon, without Moniz, reopened the train under Choo-Chew.
The menu featured salads, burgers, sandwiches, pulled pork made to taste like a hotdog, chicken, and brisket.
