Somerset restaurant ranked best hole-in-the-wall eatery in Massachusetts
Hole-in-the-wall restaurants fit what many folks in the Fall River area are looking for. Good, inexpensive meals at a spot that is more into food then frills. Maybe that’s why a local spot ranked best in Massachusetts.
According to Daily Meal, County Fare at 937 County Street in Somerset is the best hole-in-the-wall eatery in Massachusetts.
Here is what they had to say.
“Photos of pet dogs adorn the walls of this tiny hot dog joint in southern Massachusetts, bringing joy to all who enter. The rest of the restaurant is fairly plain: A whiteboard menu, a few seats at a simple booth, and an open kitchen.
“Though County Fare’s service is simple, they do it exceptionally well. Choose from a variety of creative toppings for your Coney Island-style hot dogs, tots, and fries, all at an exceedingly rare price of under $10 for a hearty lunch, and personable service to boot.”
In a social media post, County Fare stated that they were not even aware of the honor.
“A customer came in today and asked if I was aware of this article. I was not! Shocked would be an understatement. It’s such an amazing feeling being recognized……. I am so grateful for my customers, the community, and everyone who helps me at the restaurant and events. Without you, I wouldn’t have this. Thank you.”
