Somerset Police looking for public’s help to capture shoplifting suspect
Local police are looking for a shoplifting suspect that they say almost made out with nearly $1,000 in merchandise.
According to Somerset Police, this suspect grabbed a Home Depot flat cart and proceeded to the flooring dept and selected 15 boxes of Lifeproof flooring and placed them onto the cart. He pursued a few more aisles probably making sure nothing else looked appealing.
He made his way past all of the registers with a piece of paper in his hand making it look like he had a receipt. When he was approached outside by loss prevention, he ditched his merchandise and made his escape to either a black Honda or Mitsubishi SUV.
He almost got away with $993 worth of flooring, according to police.
If you recognize this suspect, reach out to Officer Bois at 508-679-2138.
