Somerset Police investigating two business break-ins minutes apart
The Somerset Police Department is currently investigating two breaking and entering’s which occurred during the early morning hours of September 27th.
At approximately 12:39 a.m., a male suspect forced entry into the Railway Café, located at 938 Lee’s River Avenue.
Once inside, the suspect took cash from the register. The suspect then fled this location and forced entry into the SAV-ON Gas Station, located at 1638 G.A.R. Highway, by smashing out a portion of the front door with a rock and climbing inside. Cash was taken from the register.
The suspect reportedly put on a face mask before entering the second location.
He can be described as a white male, wearing a bright orange “Champion” sweatshirt, Nike slide flip-flops, and black sweatpants. The suspect may also operate a pickup truck.
The Somerset Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect. All tips can be forwarded to the Somerset Police Department Detective Division at 508-679-2138.
