Somerset crews respond to three vehicle collision on Route 6 involving 5-year-old

Several people were injured, including a child, in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 2:15 p.m., multiple calls came into dispatch for a multi-vehicle crash on Route 6 in the area of 883 Grand Army of the Republic Hwy near the Somerset Burger King.

Upon arrival by Somerset Police and Fire, three vehicles were determined to be involved in the crash. All of which had to be towed from the scene.

One of the vehicles contained a 5-year-old child.

At least three rescues were sent to the scene, and patients were transported to a Fall River hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
