Sister remembers 17-year-old Massachusetts teen who was shot to death
A Massachusetts teen who was fatally shot over the weekend is being remembered.
Saturday night at approximately 9:47 p.m., Lawrence Police responded to a report of shots fired in the Brook Street area. Upon arrival, the responding units located a 17-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was treated on scene by paramedics and EMTs from Lawrence General Hospital, and subsequently transported by ambulance to that facility, where he was pronounced deceased.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Albert Arias was the victim.
Arias’ sister released a tribute.
“My brother Albert was an intelligent, smart, happy, young man who wanted a bright future. Albert loved his family very much and always wanted to try his best to make his family proud. We are shocked and at a loss for words that they took an amazing young man away from us so soon.”
Anyone with information is advised to contact Lawrence Police at 978-794-5900 or the Essex County SPDU at 978-745-8908.
