Significant injures in Wednesday afternoon crash in Westport
A serious crash occurred early this afternoon in Westport that injured three people.
Just before 12:30 p.m., a call came in for a two car crash in the area of 700 American Legion Highway.
According to WFD, Westport Firefighters used the Jaws of Life at the accident on Route 177.
Westport Firefighter/Paramedics transported two of the patients to Rhode Island Hospital for significant injuries, while another patient was transported to a local hospital by Dartmouth EMS.
During the crash, mutual aid was received from Fall River EMS and Little Compton Fire, for additional medical calls that were received.
The crash is under investigation.
