Two people have been arrested after a shooting that took place late last month.

According to police, on October 21, 2024, at just after 10:06 p.m., North Attleboro Police officers responded to a report of shots fired, with injuries, at the Hampton Inn located at 55 Draper Ave. Upon arrival officers found that multiple shots had been fired into the front entry area of the hotel. Officers and NAFD personnel assisted a male victim who had been shot in the head and was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

After an investigation by Detectives of the North Attleboro Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Unit, warrants were obtained for the arrest of two suspects in this incident. On the morning of November 26, 2024, North Attleboro Detectives, Attleboro Detectives and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section executed arrest warrants on 27-year-old Erikka Joseph and 27-year-old Joshua Montgomery, both residents of Attleboro. Detectives also executed a search warrant on the home of Joseph and Montgomery. During this search detectives located and seized a firearm.

Joseph and Montgomery are currently being held in custody pending a dangerousness hearing next week. Both are facing multiple charges in Attleboro District Court.

The male victim, who was an innocent bystander to this event, is expected to make a full recovery.
