Shielding installation to involve lane, shoulder closures on Fall River bridge over Route 195
FALL RIVER- The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will be conducting scheduled overnight bridge shielding installation operations.
The work will take place on the Route 24 northbound and southbound bridge located over I-195 eastbound. The work will occur on Sunday, March 27, and on Monday, March 28, during overnight hours from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following morning.
Standard temporary traffic management operations will be utilized including various lane and shoulder closures and the use of police detail officers. A minimum of two open travel lanes will be maintained at all times on I-195 eastbound.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
