Several Massachusetts agencies investigating after 15-year-old found dead with traumatic injuries, gunshot wounds
LOWELL – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Greg Hudon have confirmed the investigation into an apparent homicide in Lowell.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Friday, Lowell Police received a 911 call that the body of a 15-year-old female had been located inside a Lawrence Street apartment. The family member that located the victim also reported that she observed traumatic injuries to the body. When police arrived on scene, they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Multiple shell casings were also located. Later in the night, investigators were granted a search warrant for the apartment and the investigation is very active at this time.
This is an open investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Lowell Police and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
