Several crews respond to rollover crash off of Route 495 that sent three to the hospital
Three people were taken to the hospital after a vehicle crashed deep into the woods off of a local highway on Friday.
According to the Middleborough Firefighter Union, Car 3, Engine 3, and Ambulance 3 responded to a single car motor vehicle crash on Route 495 Northbound over the exit 8 on ramp guard rail.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle approximately 150 feet in and 30 feet down with 3 parties trapped.
Command immediately called for station coverage, a mutual aid rescue company from Wareham Fire Department, Ambulance 1, and a mutual aid ambulance from Carver EMS. Middleborough Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and Massachusetts Environmental Police also assisted with the difficult extrication.
Amazingly, the 3 parties suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital.
The on ramp was closed for approximately 2 hours before the vehicle could be removed by Lynch’s Towing / Auto Cycle Truck Center.
