SERVPRO of Fall River is acquired by Glassman Services Inc.

FALL RIVER, MA. – Glassman Services Inc. has expanded into the Fall River area. Doug Glassman, owner of SERVPRO of Dartmouth/New Bedford & SERVPRO of Marion/Middleboro, has acquired the Fall River territory following the news of longtime owner Walter Paiva’s retirement. The two closed the deal this past Thursday with all three franchises now operating under Glassman Services Inc.

Born and raised in Dartmouth, MA, Doug left the area in 2000 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Upon receiving his degree, Doug began working for a Fortune 500 company in the Greater Boston area, with focus primarily in logistics analysis and operations management. Knowing he had also wanted to be a business owner, Doug sought higher education at Nichols College during this time, and obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Management.

Within the past five years that Doug has owned the SERVPRO of Dartmouth/New Bedford & SERVPRO of Marion/Middleboro franchises, he’s shown strong leadership and business management skills by more than doubling their size and revenue. “I’m looking forward to strengthening relationships with the residents and businesses in the Greater Fall River Area”, said Doug. The Glassman Services Inc. franchises are already extremely active in local area Chambers of Commerce, including the Bristol County Chamber, South Coast Chamber and Cranberry Country Chamber. They have done an excellent job at building strong relationships with other small business owners in their respective areas.
