OBITUARY: United States Marine Adam Ahmad Khan, 21, passed away on December 10, 2025, in a crash in North Carolina while serving on active duty. Born on October 14, 2004, in Providence, Rhode Island, Adam brought joy, laughter, and an unforgettable spark to every life he touched.

Adam was the beloved eldest son of Mubeen Ahmad Khan and Tara Khan (Silvia) Dubois, who cherished him deeply and supported him in every step of his life’s journey.

A proud graduate of Dartmouth High School, Class of 2023, Adam embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others. He played soccer, baseball, and basketball in his youth. During his school years, he shared his musical talents as a dedicated member of the Dartmouth High School marching band playing the baritone horn. His love for music began even earlier, performing saxophone in middle school. He was dedicated, talented, tenacious, and had eagerness to grow.

Adam continued his path of service and dedication by serving his country with honor as a United States Marine, earning the rank of Private First Class (PFC). His commitment to service reflected his strength of character, sense of responsibility, and desire to contribute to something greater than himself.

Beyond his accomplishments, Adam will be remembered for his vibrant and outgoing spirit, and his innate ability to connect with everyone. He loved going to the gym, meeting new people, and exploring the world around him. Whether traveling to new places locally or internationally or discovering a restaurant he’d never tried before, Adam embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Naturally social and endlessly genuine, he had a special way of making others feel welcomed and valued.

Adam’s life, though far too short, was filled with purpose, connection, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and a reminder to live life fully.

Survivors in addition to his parents are his stepfather David Dubois of Dartmouth; sister Alliah S. Khan of Dartmouth; brother Zakary A. Khan of Dartmouth; stepsister Samantha Kelleher, husband Kevin Kelleher, and their son Luke; stepsister Alyssa Skotny and husband Nick Skotny; maternal grandmother Joanne DaGraca and her husband Joseph of Dartmouth; maternal grandfather Rep. Alan Silvia of Fall River; Mubeen Khan’s partner Rebecca Chandler; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
