Services announced for woman killed in pedestrian collision in Plymouth County, remembered for kind heart, caring for others

A woman who died from injuries sustained in a pedestrian versus vehicle collision is being remembered as services have been announced.

According to Police Chief Christopher Delmonte and Fire Chief John Schaltz, at approximately 5:15 p.m., on Tuesday, the Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a crash that left an adult pedestrian injured in the area of 792 Pleasant Street (Route 104).

The pedestrian, identified as 55-year-old Lee Marie Hagerty of Bridgewater, was transported from the scene of the crash by a Bridgewater Fire Department ambulance to Boston Medical Center – South in Brockton and later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation indicates Hagerty was in the roadway on Pleasant Street, near the intersection of Scotland Boulevard, at the time of the collision.

The Plymouth County DA Tim Cruz stated that the 63-year-old male driver of the motor vehicle, a Honda CRV, stopped at the scene.

According to an obituary, Hagerty “touched the lives of many with her kind heart and caring spirit. Lee dedicated the majority of her life to caring for others, working as a caretaker and always putting the needs of those around her before her own. She also had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and found great joy and peace in their presence.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 1:00PM-5:00PM at The Enterprise Club, 224 Clinton St. Brockton, Massachusetts. The crash remains under investigation by the Bridgewater Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, Bridgewater Police Detectives, and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit.

The Plymouth County Bureau of Criminal Investigation also assisted at the scene.
