Services have been announced for a Swansea business owner born in Fall River who has been serving countless customers with tasty BBQ.
50-year-old Timothy King, the owner and operator of Big Daddy Kings BBQ, a food truck specializing in authentic, slow-smoked barbecue located in Swansea, died late last week while on vacation.
According to an obituary, the avid outdoorsman was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School and held many roles throughout his career before following his passion for cooking.
“He will be remembered by all who knew him as a gentle giant, an honest man with a huge heart, beautiful blue eyes, and a presence that brought comfort and joy. His generous spirit and world-class hugs will be deeply missed.”
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4–8 PM at the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tim’s memory to Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), 130 Main St., Swansea, MA 02777, a cause close to his heart.
