Services announced for Bristol County couple of 63 years killed in multi-vehicle crash

Services have been announced for a Bristol County couple who died after an afternoon crash.

According to police, at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Friday September 6th, the Foxborough Police Department and Fire Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of South Street and Cedar Street.

Motorists at the scene were injured and subsequently transported to area hospitals.

As a result of the motor vehicle crash, two individuals in the same vehicle were pronounced deceased.

The two parties located in a Honda Accord have been identified as 85-year-old Joseph Borrelli and his wife, 81-year-old Carol Borrelli of North Attleboro, MA. Both succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

According to an obituary, the Borrelli’s were married for 63 years. Family was everything for Joe and Carol who enjoyed playing golf, reading, and spending time in their garden.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation for both Carol and Joe on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home at 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

Joe and Carol’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church at 105 Stanley Street, North Attleboro, MA.

Carol and Joe’s burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in North Attleboro, MA.

The crash is currently under investigation with the assistance of MSP CARS unit and the Norfolk DA’s Office.
