Casey was a 22-year veteran of the Fall River Fire Department and served in the Navy.

According to an obituary, in addition to his service with the Navy and FRFD, Casey spent “five years as a police officer with the Fall River Police Department. He also held part-time positions with the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department, Haddad Electric, and New England Boat Works.”

Casey was one of the Fall River firefighters recognized as Massachusetts Firefighter of the Year in 2022.

The Fall River Firefighter Union released the following statement to Fall River Reporter from Casey’s family.

“Scott has always been here for us, may his memories live on and continue to watch and guide over us and his fellow brothers, during this difficult time.”

When he wasn’t serving his community, Casey enjoyed cooking, fishing, Keno, playing cards, riding his motorcycles and cheering on the Boston Bruins and Dallas Cowboys.

His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 11am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday, from to 4 to 8pm.
