Services have been announced for a young child that died on Saturday morning.

Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating the apparent drowning of a two-year-old boy, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz previously announced.

At approximately 9:15 a.m., Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report that a 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a backyard above ground swimming pool at 111 Ardsley Circle.

Brockton Police and emergency personnel responded and transported the male victim to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An emotion vigil was held in memory of 2-year-old Kyro Ja-Sean Newson earlier this week as family members are dealing with the tragic loss of a sweet young boy who seemingly had so much life ahead of him.

Visitation will be held for Kyro on Tuesday, June 18th from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton, followed by a funeral service at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton.

The incident remains under investigation by MSP and Brockton Police.

Even tho I never had the pleasure of knowing this little guy I wanted to send me sympathy and condolences to the mother and father of this child. Me and my families hearts and prayers are with you at this troubled and devastating time. May his little heart rest easy while he starts his new journey on the other side. God promised us a forever life. Just because he is not living in physical form does not mean he is not living on spiritually. I just wanted to show you that your community stands with you at this time. May you stay blessed.

As others mention my family nor myself didn’t know the family but we sent our condolences to the family. Such a tragedy my husband and I just happened to be on our way out that Saturday morning when we pulled over for the emergency vehicles to pass & later in the day when I read about this my heart broke for the family. Prayers 🙏🕊️
