Services announced after Fall River native, FRPD officer for over 25 years, passes away
A Fall River native and former FRPD officer has passed away.
According to an obituary, 62-year-old Pete Cummings Jr. of Somerset died on Wednesday.
A graduate of Bishop Connolly High School, Pete was a police officer for the City of Fall River for over 25 years before he retired.
In addition to his love of family, fishing, hunting, his Irish heritage, and a trip to the range, “He was an active member of the Sakonnet Sportsman’s Club in which he held the position of Chairman of the Membership Committee.”
A visitation for Pete will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM in Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, MA 02720. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial arrangements will be private.
