Serious crash on Route 24 North near Fall River line injures one
Tiverton and Fall River personnel responded to a serious crash on Route 24 North Saturday.
According to Tiverton Fire, at approx 6:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to Route 24 North, North of Fish Road, for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Arriving firefighters found an SUV off of the road with one patient conscious and alert but heavily entrapped.
Firefighters immediately requested Boston Medflight due to the expected prolonged extrication. Firefighters worked for about fifteen minutes and were able to free the patient. The medical helicopter was cancelled and Tiverton Rescue 2 transported to Rhode Island Hospital with three firefighters.
