Serious accident in Freetown Sunday night

UPDATE: Med flight is being canceled to save time as driver has been extracted and is being transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.

A serious accident has occurred on Route 140 South, south of exit 8 about 9:00 p.m..

A car veered off for a currently unknown reason and went into the woods.

The jaws off life are currently being used to extract the driver from the vehicle.

Freetown police have requested a med flight for serious injuries. The med flight is expected to land on the highway on Route 140.
