Second Taunton man this month wins $1 million prize
Two million dollar wins are better than one as two Taunton men will testify.
Demetrios Papadopoulos of Taunton is the latest $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Double Jackpot” instant ticket game, which features chances to win on both the front and back of the ticket. Papadopoulos uncovered his prize on the front of his ticket.
Papadopoulos chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He purchased his winning ticket at Stop N Save, 648 County St. in Taunton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
One additional $1 million prize is still available in the “$1,000,000 Double Jackpot” $5 instant game.
