Saturday three car crash in Raynham claims a life
A three car crash Saturday evening has turned fatal.
Police Chief James Donovan and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita report that the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash today.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. members of the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 491 Broadway (Route 138) for a report of a crash involving three motor vehicles. Upon arrival, first responders used hydraulic machinery to extricate an adult female trapped inside one of the vehicles, who was then transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton where she succumbed to her injuries.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
An adult male in the same vehicle was also transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with serious injuries.
The other individuals in two other vehicles involved in the crash were not injured.
The Taunton Fire Department provided mutual aid on scene, and the Taunton Police Department also responded to the scene.
Route 138 remains closed in the area of the crash as emergency crews work.
The crash is currently under investigation by Raynham Police, Taunton Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
