A man is facing charges after allegedly installing card skimmers throughout the northeast at a popular retailer.
According to WMUR, Romario Serban is accused of placing the skimmers at Walmart stores in New Hampshire, New York, Maine and Massachusetts in July 2023.
Serban allegedly retrieved data from over 29,000 EBT and credit cards. Authorities say that he used a key fob to activate a switch in the skimmer, which allowed him to access the information using Bluetooth technology.

Investigators say that in some instances Serban was seen on video surveillance.
Police believe that Serban is in the country illegally.
