Route 24 and Route 44 to see ramp closures for several days
RAYNHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing various overnight hour ramp closures along Route 44 and Route 24 in Raynham. The closures will take place nightly at various times and locations from Sunday, July 11, through Thursday, July 15, during overnight hours between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. the following morning. The closures are needed to allow crews to conduct paving operations as part of the Route 44 over Route 24 Bridge Replacement Project.
The temporary ramp closures and detours will be in place as follows:
Ramp Closures
Sunday, July 11, through Thursday, July 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.:
Route 44 eastbound to Route 24 northbound ramp closure.
Route 44 westbound to Route 24 southbound ramp closure.
Monday, July 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:
Route 44 eastbound to Route 24 northbound ramp closure.
Route 24 northbound to Route 44 westbound ramp closure .
Detour Routes
Route 44 eastbound to Route 24 northbound
Drivers traveling on Route 44 eastbound looking to take the ramp to Route 24 northbound should continue on Route 44 eastbound to Paramount Drive, turn left onto Route 44 westbound and take the appropriate exit ramp.
Route 44 westbound to Route 24 southbound
Drivers traveling on Route 44 westbound looking to take the ramp to Route 24 southbound should continue on Route 44 westbound to turn right on South Street west. From South Street west, drivers should turn left on Route 104 to turn left onto Route 44 eastbound. From Route 44 eastbound, take the appropriate ramp.
Route 24 northbound to Route 44 westbound
Drivers traveling on Route 24 northbound looking to access Route 44 westbound should take exit 20A from Route 24 northbound to turn right on Route 44 eastbound, continue on Route 44 eastbound to Paramount Drive, and turn left onto Route 44 westbound.
The schedule for this major infrastructure project is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
