Rollover crash with injuries on Route 140 sends one to New Bedford hospital

Crews responded to a local highway crash with injuries over the weekend.

According to the Lakeville Fire Department, just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday, the Lakeville Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 140 South, just north of the County Street off-ramp.

Ambulance 2, Ambulance 3, Engine 1, Car 2, and Car 1 were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters coordinated with police to close the off ramp, allowing responders to travel up the off ramp to the overturned vehicle.

Upon arrival, firefighters evaluated two occupants for injuries. One adult female was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with injuries requiring further treatment.
