Once again, a popular Fall River coffee shop was visited by rock royalty, but for an added reason.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Simon Gallup, world famous bassist of the English band, The Cure, spent a wonderful time at Miss Lizzie’s Coffee a few months back with his family and Miss Lizzie’s Olivia Pereira as Pereira and her brother are friends of Gallup.

On Saturday, Gallup returned to Fall River for an artist expo being held at the coffee shop including works by Pereira.

Fall River Reporter has learned that Gallup enjoyed artwork from local artists while it was displayed during his first visit and appreciated what he saw during the expo.

Nelson Paiva, another popular local artist, stated that he gave Gallup an 8 x 10 print he really liked to take back with him to the UK. Gallup loved it and said he would hang it up back home.

The Cure have been entertaining fans since the 70s and are often regarded as one of the most significant alternative bands of the 80s. The grammy nominated group is known for hits like “Just Like Heaven”, “Friday I’m in Love”, “Boys Don’t Cry”, and “Pictures of You”.
