Rides, food, car show, contests, and live entertainment coming to Freetown’s Lakeside Family Festival
St. John Neumann parish is pleased to announce their 36th Annual Lakeside Family Festival to be held at St. John Neumann Parish grounds on Route 18 (157 Middleboro Road) in East Freetown, Massachusetts, on Memorial Day weekend, May 27th – May 30th.
Many activities and special events are planned that will be looking to entertain young and old alike.
There will be Fiesta amusement rides for all ages, a large variety of ethnic and American foods, midway games of skill and chance, and a barn sale with hundreds of items to choose from.
One of the biggest attractions is the 30th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show that will be held on Sunday (rain date is Monday). Registration for this begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The awards will take place at 2:00 p.m. behind the entertainment tent.
For those who want to nibble on some delicious snacks- they will have a homemade baked goods table with a large assortment of cakes, bars and squares, with some diabetic and gluten free options.
On Sunday, May 29th, the festival will be hosting the 12th Annual Neumann Idol Contest, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Entrance fee is $20.00 Cash prizes to be awarded to the 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners. Participants must be pre-registered. Pick up your entry form at the Entertainment Tent no later than Noon on Sunday or send an email to: voicesintime@aol.com.
The Lakeside Family Festival creates a family atmosphere which is why no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the grounds.
The free admission festival will open on Friday 5/27 at 6 p.m. and close at 11 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, it will run from noon to 11 p.m.
On Monday its operating times will be from noon to 5 p.m.
