Tith issued the following statement:
“Today, April 23, 2025, marks a significant milestone in my journey! I was sworn in as a member of the Fall River City Council this morning at 10:00 a.m. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Lord, my parents, and my amazing wife for their unwavering support through every challenge. Your belief in me has been invaluable as I step into this role. I am also deeply grateful to the 2,948 residents who placed their trust in me during the 2023 election—I am committed to serving our community with integrity and dedication. Together, we can achieve great things!”
Laura Sampson stepped down on Tuesday.
In the 2023 election for City Council, Sampson grabbed the 9th spot beating out Ricky Tith by just over 500 votes which allowed Tith to take Sampson’s spot for the remainder of her term.
Tith’s first meeting as councilor will take place in just under three weeks.
