RI mother convicted of killing her 8-year-old daughter, released after serving less than 11 years
A mother who was convicted of killing her 8-year-old daughter has been released from prison.
According to WPRI, Kimberly Fry of North Kingstown saw her 20-year prison sentence cut in half due to good behavior credits.
In August of 2009, Fry strangled Camden Fry to death after a struggle because she refused to take a bath. She was convicted of Second-Degree Murder and in October of 2011, was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Fry’s husband testified at trial that on multiple occasions, his wife stated the she wished Camden wasn’t around.
When it comes to accruing good behavior time, Rhode Island law allows for 10 days per month for good behavior, five days per month for participating in certain courses/programs, and two days per month for work.
Fry will now serve 27 years of probation as long as it is not revoked.
