Rhode Islander wants people to remember how her 15-year-old sister lived, not how she died
Another teenager has sadly, and tragically, lost her life. A promising girl gone way too soon.
Kaitlyn Souza of Middletown, Rhode Island, wants people to remember her 15-year-old sister Annabelle Souza for who she was, not the act of suicide that she committed.
“My sister was a bright light on this earth, a straight-A student. She always got along with friends and would always be a helping hand to anyone in need. She always put everyone’s worries before her own. She always had your back. She was such an amazing artist and very talented for her age that she even won a couple of art competitions. She loved making bracelets and playing Roblox. Her cats were her best friends, and she was such a good mama to them. She was really my twin, and I feel as if a part of me is missing.”
Souza, who was recently living in Florida, was a beautiful, intelligent, creative, talented, funny, and caring sister, according to Kaitlyn.
The family is now left trying to pay for Annabelle’s services through a GoFundMe.
Sadly, Annabelle is far from the only teen who has recently ended her life, several cases in Massachusetts have been documented recently.
Kaitlyn wants the public to know that even the happiest people could be the ones fighting the ugliest battles.
“If you or anyone in your life is suffering from depression or suffering in silence, please get help or get them help.”
