Rhode Island woman arrested on several drug charges after highway crash
A Rhode Island woman has been arrested on multiple drug charges after a highway crash this week.
According to Rhode Island State Police, on Tuesday, just after 2:15 a.m., Troopers arrested 37-year-old Amanda Allen of Barrington, Rhode Island for Manufacture/Deliver/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I to V (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I to V (Fentanyl), Driving under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 10 South, in the City of Providence.
Allen was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation/treatment after the crash.
Upon release, Allen was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.
